2024 International Forum on Innovative Development of Language Services (Xiamen) was successfully concluded in the beautiful coastal city of Xiamen. Huang Song, Director of the Committee on Translation Services of the China Translators Association (CTA), mentioned in his opening speech at that this is the first time that the Committee on Translation Services of the China Translators Association (CTA) and the Xiamen Translators Association (XTA) jointly organise the Committee's annual meeting in Xiamen, and expressed a warm welcome on behalf of the Committee for the guests of the Committee who come from both domestic and foreign counterparts. Since its establishment in 2002, the Committee has been committed to promoting the process of standardisation of translation services in China, where the language services industry had experienced a rapid development phase and was still growing up to that time. In the face of changes in the industry landscape brought about by technological advances, the Committee has organised a rich variety of activities under the theme of new modes and new forms of business, including inviting experts for exchanges, holding thematic discussions and training lectures, setting up booths for enterprises, and holding two workshops on the application of big model technology and global marketing one day before the Forum, which were generally welcomed by the enterprises.
